Her Light Continues to Shine.
A Bright, Joyful Spirit
Grace Seeley was a sunny soul whose laughter, creativity, and compassion touched everyone she met. As Gracie herself would say it, she had that “spice”. You could feel her contagious energy in the room – if she was up, we were up with her. If she was down, we felt her sadness. She was a daughter, sister, friend, performer, and dreamer a light who brought joy to every room she entered, and tight hugs that warmed your heart.
Grace was famous for culinary experiments in the kitchen (some better than others), and bringing us a cup of tea and a cozy blanket if we were under the weather. She loved going out to eat as a family – if you said the words boba, sushi or Thai, she was ready to leave the house within minutes. One of our favorite things was to hear her say, “In two minutes!”. Her absence is felt in everything and everywhere… but our love for her continues to grow each day.
Grace lived with courage, creativity, and confidence
Music was one of Grace’s safe havens — a place she turned to when she felt anxious, overwhelmed, or simply wanted to feel understood. It brought her peace, joy, and inspiration. She really connected with music from Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo.
Their lyrics and melodies spoke to her heart and helped her express emotions that didn’t always have words. Grace was really excited about Taylor Swift’s upcoming album release — a moment she looked forward to with pure joy. We lost her just days before the album was released.
Gracie also found discipline, focus, and confidence through taekwondo. She trained with determination and heart, earning each belt through hard work and perseverance. Grace was only a few months away from achieving her black belt — a milestone she had dreamed of.
In honor of her dedication and spirit, she received an honorary black belt from Jun Chong Martial Arts in Los Angeles. Jun Chong Martial Arts will always have a special place in our hearts – it remains forever a source of connection and family. Our son Luke will carry on Gracie’s legacy and continues to train there.
Beauty is being exactly who you are.
A Cosmetics Company of Her Own
Grace had an entrepreneurial spark and a bold imagination. She dreamed of creating her own cosmetics company — one that celebrated individuality, creativity, and confidence. She even began developing a business plan, researching products, sketching packaging designs, and imagining how her brand could empower others to feel beautiful in their own skin. She spent hours making her own formulas and mixing various concoctions. Our fridge was always full of samples that were a “work in progress”.
Gracie also loved fashion. Her clothes were in constant disarray – always involving, with pieces being cut, re-arranged, and her favorite outfits always on rotation.
Makeup and fashion weren’t just hobbies for Grace — they were art forms. She used color, texture, and style to express her moods and vision. Her dream was to inspire others to see beauty the way she did: through confidence, kindness, and authenticity.
Grace had a deep love for travel and exploration. Our family journeys took us to Mexico, Belize, France, Portugal, Bali, Hong Kong and Japan, where she discovered new cultures, flavors, and perspectives. Whether exploring ancient temples, walking along sandy beaches, or tasting pastries, Grace found inspiration everywhere she went.
Travel opened her heart to the world’s beauty and deepened her appreciation for connection, adventure, and the joy of discovery. Our family will cherish our travel memories forever. Whatever it was – being stuck in airports, cancelled flights, or getting lost in an unfamiliar city – we took it in stride as a family and got through it together. We had many more destinations we were dreaming of visiting together – and know Gracie will be with us in spirit.
The Life and Light of Grace Seeley
Above all, Grace was known for her kindness, empathy, and genuine heart. She made people feel seen and loved, often through her warmth, humor, and thoughtful words. Her joy was contagious, her creativity boundless, and her compassion unmatched. She was a ray of sunshine in our family – and we will always do our best to carry her light forward.
Though her time here was far too short, Grace’s light continues to shine through the lives she touched and the dreams she set in motion. Her legacy inspires others to live boldly, love deeply, and share their gifts with the world — just as she did every single day.
Her light lives on.
