Troy Seeley, Ph.D., serves as President of Grace’s Legacy Foundation, a mission born from the heartbreaking loss of his daughter Grace to an undiagnosed pulmonary embolism. In her honor, Troy is dedicated to raising awareness, promoting early detection, and helping families understand the risks and warning signs of blood clots—especially in children and young adults.
Drawing on more than 18 years of experience in organizational change and human behavior, Troy brings a strategic and compassionate approach to advancing the Foundation’s work. His focus is on empowering communities with clear, accessible education that can save lives. Through this work, he is committed to transforming grief into action and ensuring Grace’s legacy creates lasting impact.
Armen Osipian joined the organization following the heartbreaking loss of his friends’ daughter Grace, to a sudden pulmonary embolism. The effort endeavors to turn turning personal tragedy into a mission of prevention. The work focuses on educating families about the hidden risks of blood clots in younger populations and ensuring that early warning signs never go unnoticed.
Armen brings with him almost 3 decades of acumen in the field of Finance. His work ranged from stock research, entertainment industry as well as advertising, currently serving as VP of a Client Finance team of the biggest Agency group globally. He’s also a father who proudly handles the Treasury needs for the local public middle school. Armen is thrilled and finds fulfillment in taking knowledge gained in the Corporate world to contribute what he can to address the needs of society in a non-profit setting. The mission of this organization is particularly personal to him.
Is a clinician and healthcare leader with deep experience in improving care quality, patient safety, and access across academic and community health settings. Throughout her career, she has focused on integrating clinical care, population health, and education to better serve patients and families—particularly in underserved communities.
She previously served in senior clinical leadership roles at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the University of California, San Francisco, and La Clínica de la Raza, where she worked alongside interdisciplinary teams to strengthen care delivery and health outcomes.
Biana is a childhood friend of Gracie’s mom and has shared nearly 35 years of friendship with her family. She is deeply honored to serve as a medical advisor to the Foundation and to support its mission in loving memory of Gracie.
Dr. Clair Lakkis is a board-certified physician specializing in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine, with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience. She serves as an ICU Attending Physician and Medical Director at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, where she also leads key initiatives including the Critical Care and Code Blue Committees. Dr. Lakkis earned her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed advanced fellowship training, including at Stanford University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. As a Medical Advisor to Grace’s Legacy Foundation, Dr. Lakkis provides clinical expertise to support its mission of raising awareness, promoting early detection, and preventing life-threatening blood clots.
Lindsay Weems is honored to serve as Secretary of Grace’s Legacy Foundation. Lindsay met Grace’s parents, Troy Seeley and Elena Vartanian, while training Elena in Pilates during her pregnancy with Grace — a relationship that quickly grew into a lifelong friendship and a shared love of their late daughter Grace Seeley.
Lindsay brings over two decades of organizational experience from owning and operating multiple successful businesses, including her Pilates studio now based in Nashville, TN. This entrepreneurial background has sharpened her attention to detail, her ability to manage complex operations, and her dedication to keeping organizations running with clarity and purpose. She brings these skills wholeheartedly to the Foundation’s mission of raising awareness and promoting early detection of blood clots in children and young adults.
