Dear Grace,
August 30, 2025—the day we lost you—was the most devastating and heartbreaking day of our lives. Your passing was so sudden and unimaginable that it still doesn’t feel real.
Our hearts were completely broken knowing we would never again be able to hug you, kiss you, say good morning, brush your hair, hear your voice, or simply tell you how much we love you.
We miss the little things more than words can express.
We miss your sassiness, your quick wit, your humor, and the way you could give your brother a hard time in that special way only an older sister could. We miss the laughter and energy you brought into our home.
We were our perfect family of four.
We miss our family meetings, our Friday night dance parties, rainy days together, game nights, and simply being together. We miss traveling with you and the memories we were supposed to continue making. We will always cherish the trips we shared in Portugal, Mexico City, Japan, Bali, Belize, France, and so many other places.
It hurts knowing you never got to join us in Africa—a trip we planned for two years and booked just two days before you passed. We wish more than anything that you could have been there.
We know we didn’t always agree, and there were times when things were said in the heat of the moment. But I hope you always knew that nothing could ever change how deeply we loved you.
We still love you. We always will.
We are trying to continue with our lives, but life without you is incredibly difficult. We still find ourselves expecting you to walk through the door, run down the stairs, or come rushing out of the bathroom at Taekwondo.
You should be here, Grace.
We would give anything for one more hug, one more conversation, one more laugh, or just one more ordinary day with our family of four.
Although you are no longer physically with us, you are still everywhere—in our memories, our laughter, our travels, our family, and everything we do.
We miss you more than words can ever express.
You are forever our daughter, forever our little girl, and forever a part of our family.
We love you. We miss you. And we will carry you with us for the rest of our lives.
