We know how sweet and caring was your spirit,
With blessings in all that you’d do,
But surely, we don’t know if we will ever,
Find someone else, who could be just like you.
We know you’re watching over us forever,
Though it’s so hard not seeing you so near,
And we don’t know how many tears we’ll shed, oh treasured,
Or how much long we’ll hold them all in here.
We know you are forever in our hearts, oh loved one
A shining light that in no wise will fade,
But, we don’t know how many lives you’re saving,
Because of all the sacrifice you made.
We know that fifteen years were far too short, beloved
A sudden transformation’s life for thee
We don’t know why you had to leave so unexpected,
Or why this all for you it had to be.
We know your smile, your gentle heart, your kindness,
And the compassion that to us, you gave
But we don’t know how many hearts you’ll touch from now on,
And so, how many of their lives you’ll save.
We know we’ll miss you every day, oh angel,
In ways than no one words ever explain,
We don’t know how we’ll learn to live without you,
With emptiness, with sadness and in pain.
We know that love like yours will live beyond time,
Concurring with the memories we had,
But, we don’t know how someone young and truest,
Can leave a legacy so powerful and grand.
We know we cannot bring you back, our dearest!
Though, we all wish with all our might,
We don’t know how to say goodbye to someone
Who made our world so joyful and bright.
We know, dear Grace, you mattered here, and daily
Your life was more than a pure gift profound,
And we don’t know how heaven welcomed you,
But we are sure, it holds you safe and sound.
Although there’re many things we don’t know,
One thing will always be certanly true:
We know the world is better, comforting and blissful,
Because you walked this ground and we had you!
